Vigilance Department of NTPC Kahalgaon organized a Five Day Training Program from 24 March 2023 to 31 March 2023 on preventive vigilance for NTPC employees at Chanakya conference hall of Administrative Building and O&M Conference Hall of Service Building.
Shri Narayan Prakash Shahar, HOP (Kahalgaon) inaugurated the training program. In his address he said that preventive vigilance has become very important to ensure good governance standards and integrity in the implementation of projects involving public funds. This results in systemic reforms thereby curbing opportunities for corruption and promoting fair business transactions, professionalism and ethical practices.
Shri Shahar underlined the importance of self-satisfaction and sincere discharge of one's duties in reducing corruption.
Shri Shahar also highlighted that corruption, prosperity and development cannot go together, so it is necessary that we pay special attention to our character building only then it is possible to build a corruption free nation.
Faculty of the training program, Shri Arpan Dasgupta, AGM (Vigilance) Farakka/Katwa/NSPCL Durgapapur explained the importance of preventive vigilance and its various guidelines to the participants.
During the training programme the participants were informed about vigilance function and mechanism, PC Act, CDA Rules and different case Studies.
Shri Shouvik Barua, AGM (Vigilance) Kahalgaon also shared his experiences during the 5 day-long training program.
